An entertaining read – just done the archive.
Love the art with one small exception – all the clothes look great except this top which she wears in the fantasy realm. I think it’s mostly the 2 pieces which cover her breasts but it just doesn’t look as good as the rest of the clothing. Kinda like it’s made of card and stuck on.
Other than that the story has me so far – your models are incredible and the expressions you’re achieving are some of the best I’ve ever seen in this type of comic. At least as good quality of ‘actors’ as Dreamland Chronicles has and probably better in some ways.
I don’t know why some people rave about the facial expressions in this comic. For me that’s one of the low points in the artwork. Don’t get me wrong, I love this comic and it has some great artwork in it. The faces though I tend to find a little expressionless most of the time. The “Hmph!” face in the first panel of today’s page is great however. One of the best faces in this comic so far.
I haven’t seen anything exceptional about this web comic yet. It is pretty standard, I haven’t actually laughed once, it is barely what you would call “sexy” and the character models aren’t anything to rave about. It is something any junior high student could pull off with Poser. As far as I am concerned, the characters are lifeless and about as deep as a puddle of rain water.
I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions… even if their opinions are WRONG 😛
Jeremy, that’s great criticism except for one thing. It’s not constructive at all. Many people have laughed at this comic, thus the fanbase/faithful readers. The same is true with thinking of this comic as sexy (in some parts… this not being one of them obviously). And sure a junior high school student could pull this off… with a lot of time, a lot of help, and the brain of a prodegy.
Oh and by the way, before you criticize someone about their stuff, give some sort of real reason or some sort of backing to your comments. 1) You don’t cite anything that you DO think of as funny 2) You haven’t shown any junior high school students’ comics that are equivalent to this one 3) You haven’t shown us YOUR OWN work, which MUST be better if you’re flying off the handle…
Glen, thanks very much for the follow-up comment. I won’t say that Jeremy is wrong since, as you noted, everyone is entitled to an opinion. There are many people who seem to enjoy this comic. But no doubt there are many who do not, and to those I have a simple suggestion: don’t read it. There are thousands of other webcomics to pass your time with if you don’t like this one. I agree with you Glen regarding constructive vs. destructive criticism, …but some people simply feel the need for the latter…
Well, I for one do think this story is interesting, sexy, and at times funny, and the artwork is amazing (though the backgrounds in this week’s dream sequence could show a bit more detail). I’m with Glen on his (3): if Jeremy really thinks any high school student can come up with a story and artwork like this, then please please Jeremy, point us to your own website where we can admire the amazing story and artwork that you created.
On the downside, I have to agree with MarauderDeuce on Nikki’s bra in the dream sequence. The see-through, net like part that hangs down from the bra and covers her belly looks great, but the bra itself really does look a bit like a flat cardboard piece. Would be great if it were possible to add a bit more depth to that section…
I revised this page since Kib needed to be holding a pouch to be consistent wit the next few pages. While I was at it, I lightened the backgrounds. They had too much contrast -so maybe that helps with the lack of detail Melissa noted. (Melissa, I appreciate the constructive criticism!) As for Nikki’s top -I’ve had some other comments that it doesn’t measure up to other parts of her costume …well, there aren’t THAT many dreams left to merit a change at this point (hint!). Maybe when book one is finished I’ll go back and update pages that cry for more work or revisions. -TK
I have not laughed out loud, but it has me looking forward to each week to see the new page.

Get a grip, dude.

Thanks for the reply and the changes, Tim. Yes, the background is definitely a lot better this way!
I’m looking forward to the rest of the story…
