It’s been a looong time! Sorry for the absence, but real life has intruded on my favorite pastime (Nikki) more than once: my mother passed away, another loved one is battling terminal cancer, the company I work for was sold creating a lot of organized chaos and requiring more travel, I moved to a new office, and my freelance workload dramatically increased. Though I’ve had to step away from Nikki, the comic will be back in 2016, but unfortunately I can’t predict when. After a holiday break -my first vacation of the year- I’ll return to a hellish schedule in January and February. I’m hoping Spring will bring enough of a respite for Nikki and friends to resume their adventures. Mele Kalikimaka and Happy New Year, and I look forward to Nikki’s return in 2016.

Yes your fans are still here and we miss Nikki and her friends. But the most important thing is to take care of yourself. This has to be fun for you or we all loose out.
It may take awhile until Nikki’s whimsical nature is ready to come back out. But with all this stress in your life, take time for you to have fun even if it isn’t Nikki.
