Oops -right you are Eregnon. That’s what I get for not starting to work on the page until 10:30 the night before it’s scheduled to be posted! Greeny is indeed an Orc. I’ll make the fix tonight.
XD
Was there no better way to depict the broken tree? It looks like the orc did it with a BIG & HEAVY blunt weapon, not with an axe 😀
Also, hacking off one of two trees would (at least not very likely) break all the supporting poles and the other tree and break off the big branch with the platform at the same moment, unless both trees are totally rotten.
Well, I admit that I should have taken more time on the last panel. I try to post new pages at just after midnight every Thursday, and was running way behind this week. It was either rush the page or delay it. Since I got a few requests over the past week asking for more frequent updates (not possible right now) I really didn’t want to delay it… -TK
I must admit that at my actual state of knowledge I could not do it any better.
(Many years ago I played with Poser for a very short time (maybe one hour or two) and all I got were totally twisted poses or really simple ones. At that point I decided that the results I got were not worth the time & money I invested so far and never touched Poser again.)
@ WhattaMaroon – the most fun is to bitch about a movie afterwards. It IS fun in the right group of people but there are some that don’t want me to go to movie with them. 😀
And yes. It bothered me!
@TK Sorry – I really typed what I thought on first sight. Once in a while I can’t help it. ._.
Things like this make me… want to claw at it and fix it. It looks fixable. I can see that the whole thing is broken into 3 pieces: The floor part with the Orc, the left part with the hut, the right part with the platform. So:
– put everything back together.
– make the tree look chopped instead of broken, by removing a horizontal pie-slice from the stem and maybe add a few cuts.
– break two the front-most supporting poles, making them kinked “away from the Orc” like gotten hit by the axe.
– which leads to the whole upper part getting tilted towards the viewer. No need to break off the platform or the other tree.
– Talona and Pita falling, Talona as-is, Pita more towards the viewer.
That’s what I would do IF(<- big IF!) I could do such a page at all.
The page did not look rushed to me, not at all, it looked… "wrongly planned/directed in some details" if that makes any sense to someone.
(I'm the worst nit picker of all people I know and have heard of. I've dropped a lot of my own ideas because I could not make them work even in theory… far distance space traveling, super hero characters, things like that, also programming ideas at the job. I rather drop them than getting something that I'm not satisfied with. Perhaps I should execute a higher level of self control and don't let this part of me to be seen in the internet.)
On top of all I'm fully aware that I did not pay an € to see it, thus I have exactly zero rights to complain. And it gets the message across indeed.
Rock, no need to apologize. I welcome constructive criticism -and in this case, I happen to agree with it. Unfortunately, I’m really squeezed with work right now -and will be for the next month or so- and so can’t give the artwork as much attention as it deserves (for the moment, at least).

Troll? Two panels ago he was an orc. Did he morph?
You never know, he may really like it!

Wow, RockB, that bothers you that much? THAT’s what you focus on? You must be fun to go the movies with!
