That police officer bothers me. I think the shading on his teeth is too dark so they’re too defined and he just ends up looking nasty and inhuman. It could also be the intense shadows on his furrowed brow and over his eyes. He just looks very cartoonish to me…
I wanna change my vote on the dress code poll: What Nikki’s wearing now should be the school uniform. With the hoodie only for optional outdoor use. (The “Bazinga” shirt is pretty nice too, though.)
Oh, and I’ll make it 3 for 3 on the police officer (in the last panel) looking sorta creepy. No, strike “sorta”; he’s creepy.
Well… it’s Sunday in San Concord so Nikki isn’t wearing in school attire. She told Donnelley that she was going to go to the beach and is dressed accordingly. Glad you noticed Pita’s Bazinga shirt. The page it first appeared in was posed on the same day that Big Bang Theory returned for the season. (I’m a fan.) Since Pita is a nerd, it seemed appropriate for her. As for the policeman… not sure why people liked him so much when he first appeared and don’t seem to like him now… but my automated Photoshop scripts I use for post work were optimized for Nikki, so they don’t do well with the policeman’s darker tone. Anyway, he is only making a guest appearance (as far as I know). -TK
Tim, to avoid confusion… the creepy officer we’re talking about is the one in the last panel, not the one in the first two. I still think that one looks amazing!
Yes, same cop, but on 355/356 he didn’t look nearly as creepy as in the last panel on this page. I think it’s a result of his already strict face combined with the expression he has here, that makes him look so creepy now.
The first cop on this page, the black dude with the facial hair, is super good looking and human, unlike the second cop, the white, bald one, who is making his second appearance. He was creepy the first time we saw him too, but I wasn’t in the habit of commenting then.
Naw I just think the Captain Picard Wannabee Officer is simply a Diezen of Terestai that wishes to put a dampper on Ms. Sprite. Or perhaps he’s only under the influence of some one from Teresrai…. Either way this is shapeing up to be quite interesting. Well done once again TKD and keep the good times rolling.

Yeah, imho that police officer does not look 100% human… but maybe that’s the whole point?
