I don’t know where you’re getting that from, Guesticus. Nikki has been the object of all the girls’ affections, but tends to brush them off, when fully awake.
I never thought Nikki was a slut. She’s a romantic and only wants to share herself with someone she feels something for (even if she fantasizes – like everybody does – about unlikely partners).
I think she tolerates Ash’s flirting and may feel something for Pita, but is mostly sisterly towards her. She has a schoolgirl crush on Mr. Donnelly and Kib makes her hot.
But I wouldn’t be surprised (or disappointed!) if she finds her true “soulmate” in Talona. We just need to get her back to Terestai soon so those two can share some more “screentime”!
I think WhattaMaroon pretty much nailed it -though I won’t comment on who will ultimately unleash Nikki’s desires in Terestai. Don’t forget that Nikki’s interest in Kib is in part due to the passion fruit that he gave her. Terestai passion fruit does more than just taste good 🙂 -TK
I think it’s great that Nikki is reluctant to take advantage of her powers, but at the same time there’s only one way to charge them up.
Speaking of powers, is she going to get a new one at some point? Not that her Ray of Ouchies isn’t cool, but she’s sort of a glass cannon at the moment.
These things take time, Martin. When a person learns something new, it takes a little time to draw out the full potential of what they can do with it. Nikki has only had her Fae powers a few days at best. She might have to surprise herself with her next feat before she starts discovering more of them.
If I was back in school that dilemma would NOT be a problem!
